Priestess versus Patriarchy
(Letters to Hestria)
A play by Linda Marie
When Ronald Reagan becomes president in the early 1980s, an awakening takes place inside of a small home in the Midwest. This full-circle performance of death, rebirth, and survival from a patriarchal culture, tells the story of three women who wield the arts of storytelling, song, and poetry as instruments to heal the wounds inflicted by a harsh society.
